Tricks and Treats
The Paranomal Explorers have quite an extensive library on the supernatural
and paranormal subjects. We thought we would share some titles with those of
you who are looking for some informative books on ghost hunting and the spirit
world in general.
Ghost
By Katherine Ramsland
St. Martin’s Press - 2001
Katherine Ramsland , who is an excellent writer, describes in detail her accounts
of tracking and trying to catch the paranormal on film, digital camera and voice
recording. She travels to haunted places like Gettysburg and New Orleans, meeting
mediums, ghost hunters, paranormal enthusiasts and other interesting characters.
It’s a great read and bang-on description of what ghost hunters will go
through to get their “fix” of the paranormal.
They Don’t See What I See
Ruth Berger
Weiser - 2002
This is a book about seeing ghosts, talking to ghosts and information on suicide/murder
victim ghosts, evil spirits and healing spirits. She also talks about some misconceptions
people have about what ghosts do and don’t do. There is some helpful information
on channeling and communicating with loved ones who have passed on.
How To Photograph The Paranormal
Leonore Sweet, Ph.D.
Hampton Roads Publishing Company Inc. - 2005
Fantastic book for people interested in taking pictures and trying to capture
the paranormal with the camera. Lots of tips, tricks and theories. She shows
examples of different types of anomalies captured in pictures and lists colours
of orbs or “light forms”.
How To Be A Ghost Hunter
Richard Southall
Llewellyn Publications - 2003
Definitions of different paranormal phenomena, what equipment to use, and a step
by step guide, on how to do an investigation. Information on EVP’s and what
to keeping your Ghost Hunter’s Kit. He also supplies an appendix of forms
and questionnaires you can use for your interviews and cataloguing of experiences.
How To Hunt Ghosts
Joshua P. Warren
Fireside Books - Simon & Schuster - 2003
Joshua has an in-depth section on equipment to use. There is unfortunately very
little on EVP’s, just a couple of paragraphs. The beginning of the book
talks around theories, scientific or otherwise about what is a ghost and the different
forms they come in. He really stresses looking at phenomena and events with a
scientific and skeptical mind and letting the evidence prove or disprove ghosts.
